Dear John

The Question My Individual Salvation is not going to come about without a collective salvation for the country. -President Obama My bible doesn’t tell me that how bout you?
The Answer Yes, very racist. Phonso, you should be ashamed of yourself. We come from a poor and run-down neighborhood that those same conservatives could care less about. Maybe self reflection or a therapy session regarding self-hate could shed some light on your mentality. Tokens are needed in every movement, are you one. I have a great website for you, www.stormfront.org
I will call this post Dear John since I received this from a close friend I grow up with and I don’t want to disclose his name. I have been putting this off and it’s time to address this issue.
To start, I will do a little self-reflection like he said. We lived in the inner city of Kansas City where crime and drugs run rapid. I even experienced a shoot out the first week in the neighborhood. I also was made to take off my shirt because I was wearing the wrong color in the neighborhood. The majority of my friends from the neighborhood decided to abuse drugs and alcohol on a daily basis for whatever reason. So reflecting, what did the neighborhood teach me? What did I learn? I think of two things my mother told me on the first day of kindergarten. First, “People will judge you on the company you keep.” Second, “If you don’t know something, never be ashamed to admit it. I would rather you be stupid than ignorant.” Those two principles got me through and it opened my eyes to life outside of the inner city. Enough reflection for now and let’s get to the point of the post.
The topic for this post for my friend, and to the country at large, is accountability. I read today that as this country continues to crumble with unemployment rates at 9.5 percent, Detroit school’s graduation rate at 25 percent and 500 murders in Mr. Obama’s hometown last year, Obama’s approval rate in the black community is 88 percent. I ask people in the black community, and the other communities where his approve rate is somewhere around 45 percent, when is enough, enough? I don’t care if you’re Democrat or Republican; you have to admit things have not gotten better in the last 19 months. So why the free pass? When I discuss this question with some friends and family, they tell me it’s because he’s a black man.
For the friends and Democrats who call us Obama haters. I tell you as the bible says, “To whom much is given much is expected.” We have to hold him to a higher standard because he the leader of the free world and, more importantly, because we’re his boss and he’s accountable to us. The government works for me, I don’t work for them. I want to know how you can justify, as a tax paying citizen, that Mr. Obama has done more for unions and illegal immigrants than the working class people in this country who are the ones really hurting in this bad economy. Now, 20 months in his presidency, we’re going to talk about a bill about to help small business. So since you have given him the office he holds, what do you expect? Should we the people be third class citizens to unions and illegal immigrants?
As for the conservative caring less for where I live, I ask you the question of all questions. What have the Democrats or Liberals done for where I live? Yes I can be a token, an Uncle Tom, a house n*gg*, sellout, and whatever else you have to throw at me because that is usually the answer to this question. For example, Kansas City has been controlled by the democrats for at least 30 or 40 years, and what is the status of the community? It’s funny, the party you’re defending is already in charge of the town you live in and they have done nothing for your community. The same thing goes for the cities of Oakland, Chicago, and Baltimore. (3 other cities gathered from Glenn Beck show) So what have the Liberals done for you lately???
Since most people say conservative don’t have answers, let’s begin to lay the foundation for answers in America’s communities. Let’s start with accountability. Whether it’s the president, the teacher or principal at your kid’s school, the R&B singer, the preacher at our local churches, you yourself. Train you kids in the way they should go: even when he is old, he will not depart from it Proverbs 22:6 If we teach our kids to hold their leaders accountable for their actions, we wouldn’t have Charlie Rangels or Maxine Waters. We will also have leaders capable of living honorable lives. It would take more than a fake public apology to get back in good standing with the community if we install biblical values in our youth.
As I close I ask you to look at these great black American leaders. Clearance Otis Jr, Kenneth I. Chenault, Rodney O’Neal, Ronald A. Williams, Ursula M. Burns. They are all CEO’s of major companies, and Mrs. Burns is the first black female CEO of a Fortune 500 company. These are true patriots of this great country because they show us the American dream is at hand to anyone if you reach out and grab it. The only one who is stopping you from achieving your dreams is you!! My goal is to be a guest on Glenn Beck show and the only person who can stop that is me. Aim high! If a young man from the inner city of Kansas City can dream big, so can you. Don’t let anyone try to talk you down from your dreams either.
